V,
I guess congratulations are in order. You won! Sure, rules were broken so you could win. Nepotism played a part as well, but still… congratulations!
I’m sure someone will have sour grapes about your win. The fact that your family is involved, the fact that you are friends with the very people who selected you for the win, definitely will have people feeling some type of way.
I’m happy for you, though. I was running against you, but towards the end, when I realized what came with winning, I knew that I didn’t want the to win. I’m so glad I wasn’t selected.
I hope you are strong of will. There’s a lot of bullshit you will have to deal with now. It’s better you than me. I’m not willing to put myself into a position where I might lose so much, just so I can win. The prize isn’t worth it to me.
So, V, you’ve got quite a prize there, but with that prize comes a ton of other things. You didn’t win fairly. Your friends gave you the win. You should have been completely ineligible to win, simply because of your family, but that was overlooked, because of who your friends are.
It’s not right or fair, but life isn’t fair.
Even still, I don’t envy you. The burden you will now carry is so heavy. I hope you’ve got what it takes. You cheated, you don’t deserve this, but I’m glad you got it.
Enjoy being on center stage! I will stay in the background, happy that I don’t have to deal with all the crap you now have to.
Srand strong, and good luck!
